FELICITATION TO MERITORIOUS MINORITY STUDENTS OF 2010-11



The Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Karnataka invites applications from the Meritorious Minority Community students of Karnataka domicile who have scored 95% and above marks in aggregate during  2010-11 examination.
Who can apply ?
Meritorious Minority Community students who have scored
  • Above 95% in 10th - SSLC or CBSE or ICSE in 2011.
  • Above 95% in 2nd Year PUC or 12th std - CBSE or ICSE in 2011.
  • Successful candidates of I.A.S, I.P.S, I.F.S and K.A.S during the year 2010-11
The application along with Photo Copy  of marks card may be forwarded to
The Director, Directorate of Minorities, 20th Floor, V.V Towers, Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore-560001, on or before 23-07-2011.

The date and venue of the felicitation programme will be intimated to the candidate later on.

National Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minority Students of Karnataka



Students opting to pursue higher studies in in prestigious Foreign Universities can apply.
Age Limit: Below 38 years

Mandatory Conditions:

  • The finally selected candidates shall obtain the required admission prior to the application made to the Directorate of Minorities, Bangalore-1.
  • The candidates are required to seek admissions and join regular courses/ Full time courses in accredited Universities/ Institution only.

MERIT-CUM-MEANS-Scholarship Fresh and Renewal for the Academic Year 2011-2012



Applications are invited from the students belonging to the minority communities pursuing Engineering & Technology Courses (B.E., B.Tech., M.E., M.Tech., MCA), Medicine & Paramedical (MBBS, BUMS, BAMS, BHMS, MD, BPT, MPT, BOT, MOT, B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, BDS, MDS), Fashion Technology (B.FTech, M.FTech), Management (MBA, PGDM, PGCM, Exec-PGDM), Pharmacy  (B.Pharma, M.Pharma), Architecture & Design (B.Arch, ID, BCT, PL, PGD), Hotel Management  (BHM & CT), Applied Arts & Craft ( APD, FA, FAD), Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc., & A.H.PG), Charted Accountancy (CA), Institute of Cost and work Accountancy (ICWA), Company Secretary (CS) and Law (LLB, LLM) for Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs Government of India.

  • Applications for Merit-cum-Means Scholarships 2011-12 will be accepted ONLINE.
  • Eligible students must log on to the Ministry of Minority Affairs Scholarship Website www.momascholarship.gov.in and fill the ONLINE FORM through the student module in the website.

POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP 2011-12 (FRESH & RENEWAL)



Who can Apply?
Applications are invited from the students belonging to the minority communities pursuing Class XI/XII(PUC), Vocational Courses in I.T.I/I.T.C., JOC, Diploma Technical & Paramedical, D.Ed, D.Pharma, GNM, Graduation in B.A, B.Com,B.Sc, B.B.M, B.C.A, BSW, B.Ed, B.P.Ed, B.LibSc, BTA, etc., Post Graduation in M.A., M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, M.Ed, M.PEd, MTA, PG Diploma, etc., M.Phil, & Ph.D for Post-Matric Scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
Conditions for Scholarship
  1. To be eligible, students should have scored not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination.
  2. The annual income of the student's parents'/guardian from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs. Enclose attested copy of Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar or Original Income Affidavit on a Non-Judicial Stamp paper of Rs.20/-
  3. The students who have been sanctioned scholarship for 20010-11 are eligible to apply for renewal for 2011-12, on scoring 50% and above marks in the previous final year examination.
  4. A xerox copy of the receipt for having paid the College fee should be enclosed along with the application.
  5. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.
  6. Application with incomplete information and incomplete documents will not be entertained.

  2. Fill up the application form and send it by post to the Director, Directorate of Minorities, 20th floor, V.V. Towers, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore-560001 along with required certificates and documents with the signature on the prescribed page by the principal of the concerned college, on or before 6th August 2011

PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP 2011-12 (FRESH & RENEWAL)



Who can apply ?
Applications are invited from the students belonging to the minority communities pursuing education from class I to X in Government / Government Aided / Recognized Private Schools / Institutions for Pre-Matric Scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
Conditions for Scholarship
  1. To be eligible, Student should have scored not less than 50% of marks in previous final examination. In case of Class-I students, 50% marks requirement will not apply, only the income criteria will be applicable.
  2. The annual income of the student's parents/ guardian from all sources should not exceed Rs. 1 Lakh (One Lakh). Enclose attested copy of Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar or Original Income Affidavit.
  3. The students who have been sanctioned scholarship for 2010-11 are eligible to apply for renewal for 2011-12, on scoring 50% and above marks in the previous examination.
  4. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.
  5. Incomplete Application and Incomplete documents will not be considered.

  2. Fill up the application form & Submit the same to the concerned school Principal/ Head Master on or before 20 July 2011.
  3. The School Head Master / Principal should collect the application forms from the students and, prepare a list of candidates in a prescribed format provided by the department separately for fresh and renewal and submit the application forms along with the list of students to their concerned BEOs on or before - 30 July 2011.
